Partner ecosystem

Some of the estate is ours. The rest is theirs, and it has to fit.

Sixty-one partners across four categories. Every one of them is certified against something specific, reassessed annually, and can be found in the directory with the engagements they have actually delivered.

Who we build with.

Four of the sixty-one, and the four whose work is most visible inside the product. Each of these relationships has a named owner on both sides and a shared backlog rather than an account manager.

Meridian Cloud

Infrastructure

Strategic

Meridian runs the infrastructure underneath every CEDX region. Regional isolation, encryption key custody and the hardware security modules that hold customer-managed keys are all operated jointly, under a shared incident process rather than two separate ones.

Northwind Data

Warehouse

Strategic

The warehouse most of our customers analyse in. The connector is maintained by both companies against a shared test suite, which is why schema changes on either side stop being an incident and become a release note.

Europe, North America, Asia-Pacific

Arclight

Payments

Certified

Payment processing behind Ledger, Store and the billing engine. Certified against our settlement and reconciliation test pack every release, so a payment that leaves Arclight and a posting that lands in Ledger are the same event rather than two that have to be matched.

Solvent

Implementation

Strategic

Our largest implementation partner, with 140 certified consultants. Solvent leads roughly a third of European implementations outright and works alongside our own delivery team on the rest.

Categories

Four kinds of partner, four different contracts.

A partner belongs to exactly one category. Firms that do two things hold two agreements, because the obligations and the failure modes are not the same.

01

Technology partners.

Companies whose systems our customers keep. The connector is jointly maintained, tested against both products every release, and supported by whichever party the customer raises the ticket with.

  • A maintained connector, not a sample integration
  • A shared test suite run on both sides
  • One support path, agreed between us in advance
02

Implementation partners.

Consultancies that deliver the platform under their own name. They are certified per product line, and their engagements are subject to the same design review as our own.

  • Certification per product line, reassessed annually
  • Access to the same delivery method and templates we use
  • Joint design review on engagements above a defined size
03

Managed service partners.

Firms that run the estate for a customer after go-live, usually in a market or a language where we have no operations team of our own.

  • Operations certification and a tested escalation path to us
  • Access to platform telemetry for the tenants they run
  • Quarterly service review, attended by all three parties
04

Referral partners.

Advisers and firms who introduce us and then step back. Deliberately simple: one agreement, a fixed fee, no obligation to certify anyone.

  • A single-page agreement with a fixed introduction fee
  • No certification requirement and no revenue commitment
  • Registered opportunities held for ninety days
Tiers

Three tiers, and what each one is worth.

Tier is earned from delivered work and maintained certification, not from a commitment to a number. It is reassessed every year and partners do move down.

What we ask

A partner is accountable for the outcome, not for the introduction.

The obligations run in both directions and they are written into the agreement. Partners maintain their certifications, use the delivery method rather than their own, and let us survey their customers directly at the end of every engagement.

In return we do not compete with a partner on an engagement they registered, we do not sell services into an account a partner is delivering, and we publish the survey results to the partner whether they are good or not.

Two firms have been removed from the programme in the past three years, both after the same failure: engagements sold on a platform capability that did not exist and was never going to.

Becoming a partner

Five steps, and the third one is the real test.

From application to a signed agreement is typically four to six months, most of which is the co-delivered engagement. There is no way to shorten that part and we would not recommend one.

  1. Step one

Apply, and tell us what you already do.

The application asks which markets you work in, which of our products you intend to deliver, and which customers you have taken through a comparable platform change. We reply within ten working days either way.

  2. Step two

    Certify two people.

Two of your consultants complete the administration track and pass the assessment. The seats are free; the time is yours. Nothing else happens until this is done, because everything after it depends on the vocabulary.

  3. Step three

    Deliver one engagement alongside us.

Your first engagement is co-delivered with our own team, with our lead engineer accountable for the outcome and yours accountable for the work. It is the only reliable way to find out whether the partnership functions.

  4. Step four

    Sign, and get listed.

The partner agreement is a fixed document rather than a negotiation; the commercial schedule attached to it is not. Once it is signed you appear in the directory and can register opportunities.

  5. Step five

    Be reviewed, annually.

Certification lapses if it is not maintained, and tier is reassessed each year against completed engagements and customer feedback we collect ourselves. Partners move down as well as up.

Before you apply.

The programme is a poor fit for firms looking to resell licences without delivering, and for firms whose consultants are staffed on a utilisation target that will not accommodate a four-day certification. It is a good fit for firms that already deliver enterprise change in a regulated market and want a platform they can hold to a documented standard.

Applications go to partners@cedxsystems.com and are answered within ten working days.

Partner enquiries

Every partnership starts with one engagement delivered together.

Tell us which market you work in and which product line you intend to deliver. If the fit is wrong we will say so in the first conversation rather than the fifth.
